The 2025 SMM (20th) Lead & Zinc Conference & Industry Expo was successfully held in Nanjing, Jiangsu, from April 9 to 11, 2025.

This SMM conference featured multiple segments including the Main Forum, Battery Application and Technology Forum, Secondary Zinc Resource Comprehensive Utilization and Technology Forum, High-Quality Development Forum for the Lead and Zinc Market, “Energy Storage + Lead & Zinc” Energy Transition Forum, and the Lead & Zinc Smelting Comprehensive Recovery Technology and Equipment Innovation Forum. It brought together numerous leading enterprises, experts, scholars, government officials, and professionals from related fields in the global lead and zinc industry. Discussions focused on hot topics such as the analysis and outlook of China’s and the global macroeconomic situation, in-depth considerations on the anticipated “loosening” of lead and zinc raw material supply in 2025, the current status and price outlook of the lead and zinc market, trading opportunities in the lead and zinc market, import and export opportunities for lead and zinc ores/ingots, and new directions for improving quality and efficiency in lead and zinc smelting.
